Stronger Together.

Coping with Anxiety Group Tuesdays at 6:00pm (Online)

Learn to not be a people pleaser and say no to others and yes to yourself!  Reduce perfectionistic tendencies by reducing worrisome thoughts and addressing self-esteem issues which may be hampering self-acceptance. This support group for anxiety will focus on teaching coping skills to help reduce fears, phobias, panic attacks, social anxiety and stress.  Evidence based therapy will be used to address symptoms of anxiety.  Cognitive behavioral therapy will be utilized to teach coping skills. Learn to challenge negative thought patterns that can evoke feelings of fear, which can hamper self-confidence and motivation.   Reflect on ways that self-care, mentally and emotionally, can help you to reduce anxiety and improve your self-esteem as you rediscover yourself.

Carolyn Abbott, LMHC Mental Health Counselor

Self Acceptance after Surviving Trauma in Relationships Thursdays at 6:30pm (Online)

This group will help clients grow from challenging circumstances in which they have been emotionally abused in relationships.  The group will focus on processing the complex trauma, building self-esteem and learning to trust others and yourself again.  Evidence-based psychodynamic treatment will be used to address perceptions of oneself and others in relationships.  As you gain insight regarding patterns of your behavior and your role in relationships, assertiveness training will be taught to ensure that you learn the tools to break the pattern and cycle of victimization.
